Now that I have been in the US for a little over a month, I found that most of my worries and fears were unrealized. It has definitely been a new culture to me, but I have found that people here are very understanding and accomodating of visitors and citizens of other countries. Cultural sensitivity is definitely one trait that they possess, because the whole time I have been here, I’ve never heard of any politically/racially incorrect jokes.

Also, Whenever I was confused about something, all I had to was ask and nobody would laugh at me. Although there have been some differences that have taken longer to adjust to than others – I’m still trying to get a grip on the liberal nature of the education. But One of the things I like the most though about the US is the wealth of resources that are available to an individual. Teachers and professors simply love their jobs, and are willing to go as far as you are willing to go in terms of learning.
