My name is Priyank Singh; I have completed my Bachelor in technology in Computer Science and Engineering from Jaypee Institute of information technology, India, Asia. My overall B.tech GPA is 9.2/10 and technical GPA (all courses â€" non technical subjects) is 9.5/10. My department rank is 3 in 180 students. I have given GRE and scored 800 in quant and 330 in verbal also my Toefl IBT score is 105/120.

I am interested in pursuing graduate study and challenging career in the area of Computer Vision. I have taken advance courses in my undergraduate study to increase my potential these courses are Digital Image processing, Computer Graphics, Research methodology and Algorithm Designing. Always new and unknown fields attract me that's why I have decided to work in a project which involves concepts of Computer Vision and Indian archeology. My first research project was "Classification and reconstruction of Indian pottery" which is published in Indo US Digital Archeology Conference, 2006. Details of this project are in the resume which is attached with this document with small snapshot. In later years after adding more features in project it is submitted in journal Computer Graphics & Geometry, Russian Federation State Committee in July, 2007

It is my experience of third year undergraduate research which motivated me to choose my final year project in the field of Computer Vision, but I wanted to evolve new domain where I can apply my concepts and understanding that's why I have chosen field of "Indian Classical Dance" and "Accessibility computing" to amalgamate the concepts of Computer Vision. I have developed a system for "Portability designing and synthesis of human hand gestures", this project was focused on developing a Hand gesture based system which can be used for designing hand gestures for Indian classical dance and also Sign language Gestures. Details of this project are also submitted with resume. I have submitted this project as short paper in UAIS Journal which they have returned and told me to submit a long paper because according to them topic is excellent for long paper on which I am working. This project is stream lined in two fields first in Indian Classical dance and second was Sign language tool.

Right now I am working in Marvell Semiconductor India in One Laptop Per child (http://laptop.org/) project which is for developing $100 laptop. I am involved with Marvell from last 8-9 months in development of this project here basically my work is concentrated on the optimization and enhancement of MESH networks which are used in it. this industrial experience motivated me in thinking freely and using my potential in right direction, but the way I worked in college is different from industry, just want to find my rhythm and passion as it was in college back, and I am sure I will get that back in my higher studies.

So I am applying this year for Master Program in different Universities perticularly for Computer Vision because I have worked in the same field and my experince and reseacrh experince will help me to mold my potential in right direction.

Thanks,
Priyank
